You open the door to the cellar slowly, listening for anything that might be down there. It seems quiet, so you step in and close the door behind you. As your hand searches for a lightswitch, you hear foosteps below. Panicked, you have to decide if you are going to [[hide]], [[run back into the kitchen]], or [[fight whoever is down there]]. You don't want to be trapped inside the house, but you don't want whatever is coming toward you to see you. Your hand frantically runs over the wall to your left and you feel a doorknob. Without thinking, you turn it and rush inside. You close it as quietly as you can and try not to breathe.
You're sure the pounding of your heart can be heard beyond the door. You Keep your hand on the knob, ready to pull it in should anyone try the handle. Heavy footsteps thump up the stairs. The owner pauses at the landing before you see the light from the kitchen and hear the door close.
You wait for another minute before allowing yourself to breathe normally again. Do you [[investigate the clostet|Closet]] or [[go down the stairs|Stairs]]?Your heart is racing and you feel the hairs on your arm stand on end. It's all you can do to hold back a scream as you open the door and go back into the [[Kitchen]].You decide this ends now. Your friends are missing or dead; you need to do something. You brace yoruself to charge down the stairs and take whoever, or whatever, it is by surprise.
You wait for it to start coming up the stairs and lunge down the steps. You trip and instead of tackling whatver it is, you tumble down the stairs.
"What have we here? Fresh meat!" You can make out the words despite the ringing in your head. You look up and all you can see are teeth before darkness overtakes you.
The end.
Go back to the [[Kitchen]].You don't want to leave your hiding place just yet. Still listening for anything in the corridor, you take your phone out of your pocket and turn the screen on. You turn aroud slowly, looking at your feet so you don't kick anything that might give away your location.
When you raise your head, your eyes take in row after row of human skulls lining shelves in the closet. You turn to the left and see wigs hanging on the wall. Your eyes squint in the dim light and you're able to make out flesh protruding from beneath a brunette mane and you realize they aren't wigs. You fight the urge to vomit right there and reach behind you for the door. You put your phone back in your pocket, afraid to look at anything else.
[[Stay here|Closet]]
[[Try the stairs|Stairs]]
Go back to the [[Kitchen]]You open the door just enough to get out of the closet and close it behind you. You can hear movement beyond the door to the kitchen and know you need to move now. You feel for a banister and are releaved when your hand wraps around a metal railing.
You slowly make your way down the concrete steps, thanking the universe that they weren't creaking wood. When you reach the floor, you stop and listen again. Hearing nothing you decide it's safe to pull out your phone. You still have no signal, but the light will help in the darkness.
You turn on the falshlight and look around. You can see a door along the far wall to your right and another to your left. There is also a work area before you and what looks like storage. What do you do?
[[Go to the door on the right.]]
[[Go to the door on the left.]]
[[Investigate the work area.]]
[[Investigate the storage containers.]]You open the door to find a few boards blocking the path. You shine your phone flashlight into the darkness, but can't tell where it leads.

[[Go to the door on the left.]] You need a way out of this house. You decide to try the door on the left. You open it and you're greeted with an earthen tunnel.
[[Go down the tunnel.|Left Tunnel]]

[[Investigate the storage containers.]]
[[Go to the door on the right.]] You approach the work area. Your light illuminates a workbench filled with an array of tools. Saws, pliers, knives, screqdrivers, hammers, and things you can't name litter the workbench. You also now see the deep red stains on the bench as well as what look like cuffs on the corners. Your hand goes to your mouth as you again feel the urge to vomit. Before moving away, you decide to grab a long, flat-head screwdriver. It's not covered in blood and it might make a good weapon.
[[Investigate the storage containers.]]
[[Go to the door on the right.]]
[[Go to the door on the left.]] You approach the storage area, too curious to walk past it. As you get closer, you feel the temperature drop and you can see your breath as you exhale. You look around but see no one. You shine your phone on a box and see RANDALL written on it. There is nothing on top of it so your free hand moves to lift the lid.
A voice in your ear whispers, "Yes, free me."
Do you [[lift the lid]] or [[back away]]?You're transfixed by the voice and stare at the box as you pull off the lid and lay it on a box in the next stack. You hear children's laughter ring out followed by screams of terror. Your eyes go wide as you watch a dark smoke twist out of the box and hover over it. Two red eyes within the cloud meet yours and you know you've made a grave mistake.
Before you can replace the lid, the smoke surrounds you and you feel a deadly cold take hold of you. In your mind, you see a small boy of 12 or 13. He has the family cat down here and has its neck in one of the cuffs, holding it to the table. You want to scream in horror as he laughingly takes a hammer to the poor creature's legs and back so it can't fight. The cat cries in pain, its eyes pleading to be released. You try to turn away as the boy picks up one of the knives and begins to make a cut down the cat's back but no matter where you turn, you see the gruesome scene.
"Randall! Supper!"
The boy stops and sighs. He puts the knife down and turns to run up the stairs, leaving the cat in agony on the bench.
You feel your body turn toward those same stairs now, but you're not in control of your movements. Randall walks your body to the stairs, eager to see what new playthings the house holds.
You are a prisoner in your own mind.
[[Investigate the work area.]]
[[Go to the door on the right.]]
[[Go to the door on the left.]] The voice in your ear chills you to the bone. It's menacing, like everything else in this awful place. You pull your hand back and step back from the boxes and totes until you're no longer in the cold area.
[[Investigate the work area.]]
[[Go to the door on the right.]]
[[Go to the door on the left.]] You hear the door to the basement open. You're out of time. You pocket your phone and go into the tunnel, pulling the door closed behind you, barely hearing the "click" of the latch. You begin to walk blindly into the darkness. The smell of damp earth fills your nostrils as you go deeper into the tunnel. You don't hear the door open behind you and you don't hear anything in the tunnel, so you begin to relax a bit.
After walking for about five minutes, you feel a breeze. You pull your phone out and turn on the flashlight again. After your eyes adjust to the light, you see the tunnel you're in branches off into three directions.
You can't tell where you are. You hope one of them leads to the outside world.
[[Take the left tunnel.|Left Tunnel 2]]
[[Take the middle tunnel.|Middle tunnel]]
[[Take the right tunnel.|Right Tunnel 2]]This is for Joel's hidden room behind the library bookcase.
Enter the room.
[[Go back to the juncture and take a differnt path.|Left Tunnel]]You walk down the tunnel guided by your phone light. You can't tell where you are, but after about 15 minutes, you feel like you can't be on the property anymore, even with the bends the path has taken, you don't think you've gone in circles.
You think you can see something ahead. You move cautiously, not sure what you're going to come up to. As you get closer, you can tell there are stairs leading up. The stone looks worn, but sturdy.
[[Go up the stairs.|Exit]]
[[Go back to the juncture and take a differnt path.|Left Tunnel]]You decide to take the right tunnel. You follow it down and after only a few minuts, come to a set of crude stairs.

[[Go back to the juncture and take a differnt path.|Left Tunnel]]You decide to take the right tunnel. You follow it down and after only a few minuts, come to a set of crude stairs.
[[Go up the stairs|Joel's hidden room]]
[[Go back to the juncture and take a differnt path.|Left Tunnel]]You try to pull one of the boards and find it comes off rather easily with only a little bit of force. The wood looks old and rotted in places so it must have been here a long time.
When you have four boards off, you can fit through the doorway. You move the boards inside the passage so the owners don't realize you've found it. You go through and pull the door closed behid you. This must be a way out. Why else would they board it up?
You go down the tunnel, your nose filling with the smell of damp earth. You keep your phone light on or you'd not be able to see anything. As you walk, you can see bones scattered in places along the tunnel. You shudder thinking about everything you've already witnessed here.
After walking for about 10 minutes, you hear somethig ahead. Feet padding? Something scratching at a door ahead?
[[Turn off the light and try to hide.]]
[[Run ahead toward the sound.]]
This is for Eric's game room.
Enter the room.
[[Go back to the juncture and take a differnt path.|Left Tunnel]]You don't trust anything in this house, even underground. You glance around and see a small crevace in the wall. You turn off your phone and squeeze into it, trying to get as far back as you can.
You hear the footsteps get closer and peer out into the darkness. Something big scurries past you. It sounds like there are dozens of people running past, but it's one neverending thing. It slows and stops, part of it still in front of you hiding place.
After a minute, it continues on toward the door you entered in. As soon as you no longer hear the feet, you leave your hiding place, dtermined to get out of here as quickly as possible. You turn to your right to see if you can tell how far it is and your throat closes in fear. You're looking into the face of a giant insect of some kind.
You turn to run but it's much faster than you are and it's pincers are around your waist before you can take a single step. Your screams echo through the tunnel as the thing slices you in half.
The end.

[[Go to the door on the left.]]
It must be an exit! You quicken your pace and start jogging toward the sound. As you round the corner, your light shines on the source of the sound. Before you lays what you can only describe as a giant centipede. It fills the cavern before you, coiled upon itself. Thanks to your flashlight, you can clearly see the source of the scratching sound: the bone it has between its giant pincers. It drops the bone and starts coming toward you.
You turn and run as fast as you can, the sound of padded footsteps close behind you. You hear a high-pitched screech as it gets closer. You are sure the door is around the next corner when you stumble over a disgarded bone on the ground.
You scramble to get back to your feet, but it's too late. This thing is over you and you scream as its pincers dig into your back, injecting you with a burning venom. The thing screetches again as everything turns to blackness before you.
The end.

You climb the stairs to a set of angled wooden doors. They lay almost horizontal to the ground, but not quite. You pocket your phone and hope they're not locked from the outside.
You push up agianst the doors and to your relief, they open. You stop and listen for sounds of life, but hear only birds chirping. You decide to risk it and push against one of the doors as you climb the rest of the stairs.
The sun blinds you after the darkness of the tunnel. Was it sunny when you entered the house? You can't remember. You are in some type of forested area, but there's no one in sight. You're free. But, what about your friends?
[[Go back for your friends.|ExitTunnel]]
[[Run away.]]
You can't leave your friends. Now you know a way out, you can go find them and get anyone who is still alive out, too. You retrace your steps back to the [[Kitchen]]. Your gut is telling you they're all dead. You'll try to get help, but you're not going back into that house. You leave the doors open and take off running as fast as you can.
The end.
